🛒 Ingredients
🥬 Cabbage
🥬 1 large cabbage head
💧 Water (for boiling)
🧂 Salt
🥩 Filling
🥩 500g ground beef (or mix beef & lamb)
🍚 1/2 cup uncooked rice
🧅 1 onion, finely chopped
🧄 3 garlic cloves, minced
🧂 Salt & black pepper
🌿 1 tsp paprika
🌿 1 tsp dried parsley
🍅 Sauce
🍅 2 cups tomato sauce
🍅 1 tbsp tomato paste
🧄 2 garlic cloves, minced
🧂 Salt & pepper
💧 1 cup water or broth
🌿 1 tsp oregano
👨‍🍳 Instructions
🥬 Prepare Cabbage
💧 Boil cabbage in salted water for 5–7 minutes until leaves soften.
🥬 Carefully separate leaves and set aside.
🥩 Make Filling
🥣 Mix ground beef, rice, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and parsley.
🥬 Roll Cabbage
🥬 Place filling inside each cabbage leaf.
🔁 Roll tightly and tuck sides in to seal.
🍅 Cook Rolls
🍅 In a pot, mix tomato sauce, tomato paste, garlic, water, salt, pepper, and oregano.
🥬 Place cabbage rolls into the sauce.
🔥 Cover and simmer on low heat for 45–60 minutes until fully cooked and tender.
