200 g shrimp, peeled & deveined
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
Salt & black pepper
1 small onion, diced
1–2 jalapeños, chopped (optional)
Queso sauce:
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup mozzarella or Monterey Jack
1 cup milk or evaporated milk
2 tbsp cream cheese
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp cumin
1 tsp chili powder
Optional toppings:
Cilantro
Hot sauce
Diced tomatoes
👨🍳 Step-by-Step Instructions
Cook steak
Season steak with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Sear in hot pan until browned. Set aside.
Cook shrimp
In the same pan, cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove.
Start queso base
Melt butter in a pot. Add onion and jalapeños, cook until soft.
Melt cheese sauce
Add milk and cream cheese, then slowly stir in shredded cheeses until smooth. Season with cumin and chili powder.
Combine everything
Add steak and shrimp into the queso and stir gently.
Serve
