Beef
2 lbs beef sirloin or stew beef, sliced or cubed
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt & black pepper to taste
Mushroom Brandy Sauce
2 tbsp butter
1 onion, finely chopped
4 garlic cloves, minced
10 oz mushrooms, sliced
¼ cup brandy (or beef broth substitute)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 cup beef broth
1 cup heavy cream
1 tsp thyme
1 tbsp parsley, chopped
👨‍🍳 Instructions
Season beef with salt and pepper.
Heat olive oil in a skillet and sear beef until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, melt butter and sauté onions, garlic, and mushrooms until softened.
Carefully add brandy and simmer for 1–2 minutes.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, thyme, and beef broth.
Return beef to the pan and simmer gently for 30–40 minutes until tender.
Stir in heavy cream and cook until sauce thickens slightly.
Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
