🍮🇵🇭 Kutsinta Recipe ✨🥥

Soft, chewy, and lightly sweet — Kutsinta is a classic Filipino steamed rice cake with a rich caramel color and deliciously sticky texture, perfect with fresh grated coconut.

🧾 Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup brown sugar 🍯
2 cups water 💧
1 tsp lye water
1 tsp annatto powder or food coloring
1/2 cup tapioca flour
Grated coconut for topping 🥥
👨‍🍳 Instructions
1. 🥣 Dissolve sugar

In a bowl, mix brown sugar and water until dissolved.

2. 🌾 Mix dry ingredients

Add flour and tapioca flour. Stir until smooth with no lumps.

3. 🎨 Add color & texture

Mix in annatto powder and lye water.

4. 🧁 Fill molds

Grease small molds lightly and pour batter about 3/4 full.

5. ♨️ Steam

Steam for 35–40 minutes until firm and glossy.

6. ❄️ Cool slightly

Allow kutsinta to cool before removing from molds.

7. 🥥 Serve

Top generously with fresh grated coconut.
