CRISPY FRIED CHICKEN RECIPE 🍗🔥

Golden, crunchy, and juicy inside—this classic fried chicken recipe delivers that crave-worthy crackle and bold flavor in every bite.

Ingredients (serves 4–6):

For the Chicken:
• 2–3 lbs chicken pieces (legs, thighs, wings)
• 2 cups buttermilk
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 tsp black pepper
• 1 tsp hot sauce (optional)

For the Coating:
• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp paprika
• 1 tsp onion powder
• ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
• Salt & pepper to taste

For Frying:
• Vegetable oil (for deep frying)

Instructions:
1. Marinate chicken in buttermilk, salt, pepper, and hot sauce for at least 4 hours (overnight is best).
2. In a shallow bowl, mix flour with all dry seasonings.
3. Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
4. Dredge marinated chicken in seasoned flour, pressing to adhere.
5. Fry in batches 10–15 minutes, turning occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through.
6. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces or sides.
