🥧🍎 Apple Hand Pies

📝 Description

Flaky golden pastry pockets filled with warm cinnamon-spiced apple filling — like mini apple pies you can hold in your hand. Perfect dessert or snack.

🛒 Ingredients
🥟 Dough
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp sugar
½ tsp salt
1 cup cold butter (cubed)
6–8 tbsp ice water
1 egg (for egg wash)
🍎 Apple Filling
3 large apples (peeled & diced)
⅓ cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp cornstarch
👨‍🍳 Steps
1. Make the dough

Mix flour, sugar, salt → cut in cold butter → add ice water slowly → form dough → chill 30 min.

2. Cook the filling

Cook apples + sugar + cinnamon + lemon juice for 6–8 min → add cornstarch → thicken → cool.

3. Assemble

Roll dough → cut circles → add filling → fold into half-moons → seal edges with fork.

4. Bake

Brush with egg wash → bake at 190°C (375°F) for 20–25 min until golden.
