Savory Ribeye Steak with French Onions & Mushrooms

Here’s how to make it:
Ingredients:
2 ribeye steaks
2 large onions, thinly sliced
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cloves garlic, minced
Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Preparation: Season the ribeye steaks with salt and pepper, then let them rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Cooking: In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil and 1 tbsp of butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Stir in sugar and balsamic vinegar in the last 5 minutes. In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil and butter, then sauté the mushrooms and garlic until golden brown. Increase heat to medium-high and sear the steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes.
Final touches: Top the steaks with caramelized onions and sautéed mushrooms. Garnish with fresh thyme or parsley before serving.
