Louisiana-Style Sausage & Shrimp Jambalaya

🔥 A taste of Louisiana right at home! This jambalaya is bursting with bold flavors from juicy sausage, fresh shrimp, and fragrant rice simmered in a rich blend of Cajun spices.
Ingredients:

1 cup long-grain rice
1/2 pound smoked sausage, sliced
1/2 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 small onion, diced
1 bell pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 teaspoon Cajun spice blend
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon chili flakes
1 tablespoon olive oil
Chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions:

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook sausage until golden brown, then remove.
In the same pan, sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic until soft.
Add diced tomatoes, chicken broth, Cajun spice, paprika, basil, and chili flakes. Stir well.
Mix in rice, cover, and let it cook for 15 minutes.
Stir in shrimp and sausage, cooking until shrimp is pink and rice is fluffy.
Garnish with cilantro and serve hot!
