Philly Steak Cheese Fries❤️❤️

Ingredients:
For the Fries:
4 cups frozen French fries (or homemade)
Salt to taste
Cooking oil (optional)
For the Philly Steak Topping:
1/2 lb thinly sliced beef steak (ribeye or sirloin)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
1 small onion, thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
For the Cheese Sauce:
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup whole milk
1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese (or a mix)
Salt to taste
Toppings:
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Cook the fries according to package instructions or fry until golden and crispy. Lightly toss with a pinch of salt.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, add vegetable oil. Sauté sliced onions and bell peppers for 4-5 minutes until soft and slightly caramelized. Add the thin steak slices, season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from heat and set aside.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Whisk in the flour and cook for 1 minute to form a roux. Slowly whisk in the milk until smooth. Bring to a gentle simmer, then stir in the shredded cheese until melted and creamy. Season with salt to taste.
On a large serving plate, spread the hot fries in a single layer. Top generously with the steak and veggie mixture. Drizzle the cheese sauce over the top, or layer shredded cheese and broil for 2-3 minutes until melted and bubbly. Sprinkle chopped green onions and fresh parsley on top.
