Garlic Butter Steak Bites and Mash

Ingredients:
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
For the Mash:
2 lbs potatoes, peeled and diced
4 tbsp butter
1/4 cup milk
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Cook the Potatoes:
Boil potatoes in salted water until tender (about 15 minutes). Drain, then mash with butter and milk. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
Cook the Steak Bites:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season steak bites with salt and pepper, then sear for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your preference. Remove from skillet and set aside.
Make the Garlic Butter:
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt the butter. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes). Toss the steak bites back in the skillet, stirring to coat them with the garlic butter.
Serve:
Plate the steak bites with mashed potatoes and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes:
Add a side of vegetables like roasted asparagus or green beans for a complete meal.
