Preheat oven to 175Β°C (350Β°F). Grease a springform pan.
Make red velvet base:
Mix dry ingredients in one bowl. In another, whisk eggs, buttermilk, oil, vanilla, and food coloring. Combine both and pour into pan. Bake 20β25 minutes (slightly underbaked is fine).
Make cheesecake layer:
Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs, vanilla, and sour cream. Mix gently.
Pour cheesecake layer over baked red velvet base.
Bake again for 35β45 minutes until center is set.
