Beef and Pepper Rice Bowl

Ingredients:😋
For the Beef and Peppers:
1 lb ground beef (or thinly sliced beef)
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional for extra umami)
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
For the Rice:
3 cups cooked white or brown rice
1 tsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions:😋
1. Cook the Rice:
Prepare your rice according to package instructions. Keep warm and set aside.
2. Sauté the Vegetables:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened. Remove and set aside.
3. Cook the Beef:
In the same skillet, add the ground beef (or sliced beef). Cook, breaking it apart, until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Drain excess grease if necessary.
4. Make the Sauce:
Reduce heat to medium. Add the garlic to the cooked beef and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix well to coat the beef.
5. Combine:
Return the sautéed vegetables to the skillet with the beef. Toss everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes to combine flavors.
6. Assemble the Bowls:
Divide the cooked rice into bowls. Spoon the beef and pepper mixture over the rice.
7. Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Serve hot and enjoy!
