Would You Eat Fried Cabbage with Bacon, Onion, and Garlic?

Ingredients:
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 large onion, diced
– 6 slices bacon, chopped

Instructions:
1. Begin by frying the chopped bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until it’s crispy. This will take around 5-7 minutes.
2. Once the bacon is cooked, use a slotted spoon to remove it from the skillet and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat.
3. In the same skillet, retain about 2 tablespoons of the bacon grease (feel free to drain off the excess if you prefer).
4. Add the diced onion to the skillet and sautΓ© it for about 3-4 minutes until it begins to soften.
5. Stir in the minced garlic, and continue cooking for another minute until the garlic becomes fragrant.
6. Now, add your chopped cabbage to the skillet and stir everything together, letting it cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cabbage has wilted and cooked down.
7. Return the crispy bacon to the skillet, combining it well with the cabbage mixture. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to heat and meld the flavors together.
8. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve hot!
