Golden, Flaky Ham and Cheese Croissants for Breakfast or Brunch

Ingredients:
1 package (8 count) crescent roll dough
8 slices of deli ham
8 slices of Swiss cheese (or your preferred cheese)
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard (optional)
1 tablespoon melted butter
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Unroll the crescent dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Place a slice of Swiss cheese and a slice of ham on each piece of dough.
If using Dijon mustard, spread a thin layer on the inside of the dough before adding the cheese and ham.
Roll up the crescent dough around the ham and cheese, starting at the wide end.
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and dried thyme. Brush this mixture over the top of the croissants.
Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper on top for added flavor.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
