1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
1 onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 carrot, finely chopped
1 celery stalk, finely chopped

2 tbsp tomato paste
1 cup beef or chicken broth
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
Salt & pepper, to taste
12 oz spaghetti
Olive oil for cooking
Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
Fresh basil (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
Cook the Meat:
In a large skillet, heat a splash of olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef or sausage and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Sauté Vegetables:
Add the diced onion, garlic, carrot, and celery to the skillet. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are soft.
Add Tomatoes and Seasoning:
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, broth, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cook Spaghetti:
While the sauce simmers, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Combine:
Toss the cooked spaghetti with the Bolognese sauce until well combined.
Serve:
Plate the spaghetti Bolognese, topping with grated Parmesan and fresh basil if desired.
