🛒 Ingredients
🥩 Liver:
500g beef or lamb liver (sliced)
½ cup milk (for soaking – optional)
Salt & black pepper
½ cup flour (for light coating)
🧅 Onions:
3–4 large onions (sliced)
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp sugar (optional, helps caramelization)
🧄 Flavor Boost:
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp thyme
1 tbsp vinegar or lemon juice 🍋
👨‍🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Prep liver
Soak liver in milk for 20–30 minutes (optional for milder flavor)
Pat dry, season, and lightly coat with flour
2️⃣ Caramelize onions
Heat butter + oil in a pan
Add onions and cook slowly until golden and soft (10–15 minutes)
Add sugar if using
Remove and set aside
3️⃣ Cook liver
In the same pan, cook liver slices 2–3 minutes per side (don’t overcook!)
Add garlic, paprika, thyme
4️⃣ Combine
Return onions to the pan
Splash with vinegar or lemon juice
Toss everything together
5️⃣ Serve
