Crispy Fried Shrimp with Dipping Sauce

Ingredients:
For the Shrimp:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup cornstarch
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp smoked paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Vegetable oil for frying
2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
For the Dipping Sauce:
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp ketchup
1 tsp hot sauce
½ tsp garlic powder
1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions:
Marinate the Shrimp: Soak shrimp in buttermilk for 15 minutes.
Prepare the Coating: In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne.
Coat the Shrimp: Dredge shrimp in the flour mixture, pressing lightly to adhere.
Fry the Shrimp: Heat oil to 350°F (175°C) and fry shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
Make the Sauce: Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, hot sauce, garlic powder, and lemon juice in a small bowl.
Serve: Plate the crispy shrimp, garnish with parsley, and serve with the dipping sauce. Enjoy!
