Ingredients:
For the Nachos:
1 bag of tortilla chips (about 10 oz)
1 lb ground beef
1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade seasoning)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup guacamole (optional)
1/4 cup diced tomatoes
1/4 cup sliced jalapeños
1 cup shredded lettuce
Instructions:1. Prepare the Ground Beef:
Cook the Ground Beef:
In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
Season the Beef:
Add the taco seasoning to the cooked beef (add a little water if needed, following the seasoning packet directions) and stir until well combined. Set aside.
2. Cook the Shrimp:
Sauté the Shrimp:
In another skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Season the shrimp with a pinch of salt and pepper, or a sprinkle of chili powder or Old Bay seasoning for extra flavor.
3. Assemble the Nachos:
Layer the Chips:
On a large baking sheet or oven-safe dish, spread out the tortilla chips.
Add the Beef and Shrimp:
Evenly distribute the seasoned ground beef and sautéed shrimp over the chips.
Top with Cheese:
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the beef and shrimp.
Melt the Cheese:
Place the nachos in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Once the nachos are out of the oven, add the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, jalapeños, sour cream, and guacamole (optional). Sprinkle with fresh herbs or cilantro for garnish if desired.
