Homemade Beef Lo Mein π₯’π₯©π

Ingredients π
For the beef:
1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced against the grain
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
For the sauce:
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
2 tbsp hoisin sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp sugar
1/4 cup beef broth
For the stir-fry:
8 oz lo mein noodles (or spaghetti)
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 small onion, sliced
1 cup broccoli florets
1/2 cup carrots, julienned
1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp grated ginger

1οΈβ£ Marinate the beef:
In a bowl, combine thinly sliced steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Set aside for 10 minutes to tenderize and absorb the flavors.
2οΈβ£ Prepare the sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and beef broth. Set aside.
3οΈβ£ Cook the noodles:
Boil the lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
4οΈβ£ Sear the beef:
Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Sear the beef for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
5οΈβ£ Cook the vegetables:
Add the remaining oil to the skillet. SautΓ© onions, broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp. Add garlic and ginger, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
6οΈβ£ Combine:
Return the beef to the skillet. Add cooked noodles and pour in the sauce. Toss everything together for 2-3 minutes over medium heat until well-coated and heated through.

Serve immediately, garnished with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
