Ingredients:
– 1 lb ground beef
– 1 small onion, diced
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
– 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
– 2 tablespoons tomato paste
– 1 teaspoon sugar
– 1 teaspoon dried basil
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
– 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 12 oz spaghetti

Instructions:
1. In a large skillet or saucepan, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.

2. Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the beef. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the onion is soft and translucent.

3. Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and tomato paste. Mix well.

4. Add the sugar, dried basil, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes if using. Stir to combine.

5. Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally to allow the flavors to meld.

6. While the sauce simmers, cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

7. Stir in the chopped fresh parsley and grated Parmesan cheese into the meat sauce. Adjust seasoning if necessary.

8. Serve the meat sauce over the cooked spaghetti, garnished with extra Parmesan cheese and parsley if desired. Enjoy!
