Smoked Burgers 🍔🔥

Tender, smoky, and packed with juicy flavor — the ultimate BBQ upgrade!

Ingredients:
• 1.5 lbs ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
• Salt & freshly ground black pepper
• 4 burger buns (brioche, potato, or sesame)
• Cheese slices (cheddar, Swiss, or American)
• Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, bacon, BBQ sauce, mayo, mustard
Instructions:
1. Form the patties
Shape ground beef into 4 equal patties (about 1/3 lb each). Press a small indentation in the center to prevent puffing. Season generously with salt and pepper.
2. Preheat the smoker
Heat your smoker to 225°F (107°C). Use a mild wood like hickory, cherry, or oak for classic burger flavor.
3. Smoke the burgers
Place patties directly on the smoker grates. Smoke for 60–90 minutes, or until internal temp reaches 135°F for medium-rare, 145°F for medium.
4. Optional: Sear for crust
For a better crust, sear burgers in a hot cast iron pan or grill for 1–2 minutes per side after smoking (reverse sear method).
5. Melt cheese & assemble
Add cheese during the last minute of cooking. Toast buns if desired. Stack with your favorite toppings and sauces.
