Crispy Cheesy Bacon Rolls

Ingredients
8 slices bread (crusts removed)
8 slices cheese (or 1 cup grated cheddar)
8 slices bacon (raw or pre-cooked)
¼ cup butter
Directions
Prepare the bacon: If using raw bacon, partially cook it in the air fryer or a frying pan over medium-high heat until some of the fat has rendered out. The bacon should be pliable and not too crispy.
Flatten the bread: Remove the crusts from the bread. Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice of bread.
Add the cheese: Place a slice of cheese or about 2-3 tablespoons of shredded cheese on each slice of flattened bread.
Roll and wrap: Roll up the bread and cheese tightly. Then wrap each roll with a slice of bacon, securing it with toothpicks on both ends.
Cook the rolls: Heat a pan over medium-low heat. Add a small spoonful of butter. Using tongs, rub each roll in the melted butter, making sure all sides of the bread are coated.
Brown and melt: Continue turning the rolls with tongs, adding more butter as needed, until all sides are browned and the cheese is melted inside.
Serve: Remove the toothpicks and serve the rolls immediately while they’re warm and crispy.
