Chicken Roast by Chris

Protein: ~42g per serving
Golden, juicy, and seasoned to perfection—Chris’s signature chicken roast brings together crispy skin, tender meat, and bold herb flavor in every bite.

Ingredients (serves 4–6):
• 1 whole chicken (about 4–5 lbs)
• 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
• 4 garlic cloves (minced)
• 1 tbsp fresh rosemary (or 1 tsp dried)
• 1 tbsp thyme leaves
• 1 lemon (halved)
• Salt & pepper to taste
• 1 onion (quartered)
• Optional: carrots, potatoes, or other roasting veggies

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Pat chicken dry.
2. Rub chicken with olive oil/butter, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt & pepper.
3. Stuff cavity with lemon halves and onion.
4. Place chicken in a roasting pan. Add optional veggies around it.
5. Roast for about 1 hour 20 minutes (or until internal temp reaches 165°F/74°C), basting occasionally.
6. Let rest 10 minutes before carving.
